SRINAGAR, Apr 11 : Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president Syed Altaf Bukhari on Saturday urged every citizen of the Union Territory to actively contribute to the success of the 100-day ‘Nasha Mukt’ campaign launched to tackle the growing drug menace.
In a post on X, the Apni Party chief said the initiative is both timely and necessary, especially at a time when a large number of youth have already fallen victim to drug abuse and many others remain at risk.
The Apni Party president also praised Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for announcing strict punitive measures, including cancellation of passports and Aadhaar cards, as well as attachment of properties belonging to drug smugglers.
“Such firm actions are necessary to break the backbone of the drug network and protect our youth,” Altaf Bukhari said, urging collective participation from all sections of society to ensure the success of the campaign. (Agency)
