Duo Dies After Falling Into Jhelum River at Bijbehara in South Kashmir, Rescue Operation Underway

Anantnag, Apr 13: Two boys drowned in the Jhelum river in the Padshahibagh area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—that the duo slipped into the Jhelum river at Padshahibagh, Bijbehara accidentally.

He said that soon after the incident was reported, rescue teams were rushed to the spot and search operations were launched. The identities of the victims are being ascertained.

Meanwhile, an investigation into the incident has been initiated. (Agency)
