Srinagar, Apr 14: A series of mild earthquakes have been recorded in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir and in Leh district of Ladakh over the past few days, causing concern among residents, though no major damage has been reported so far.
According to officials, three earthquakes struck Doda district in the last 72 hours. The strongest measured 4.6 magnitude, while the other two tremors were recorded at 3.0 and 2.9 magnitude, triggering brief panic among locals.
Meanwhile, Leh in Ladakh also experienced three tremors over the past four days. These quakes were relatively low in intensity, with magnitudes of 2.6, 3.2, and 3.0.
Officials confirmed that the tremors were mild in nature and did not result in any damage.
No casualties or significant losses have been reported from either region so far. (Agency)
