Srinagar, Apr 17: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Friday visited SMHS Hospital to meet Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, the critically ill father of jailed Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid, who is currently on ventilator support.
Expressing concern over his condition, Bukhari said that Khazir Mohammad Sheikh’s health is extremely serious and the family is going through a very difficult and distressing time. He extended solidarity with the family and prayed for his speedy recovery.
Taking to social media platform X, Bukhari described the situation as deeply painful and prayed for strength and recovery for Khazir Mohammad Sheikh.
He also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to consider granting parole to Engineer Rashid so that he may be with his ailing father and family during this critical time.
Bukhari said that allowing him to be with his family in such a situation would be a humane and compassionate decision, which would be widely appreciated across Jammu and Kashmir. (Agency)
