JAMMU, Apr 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a road accident in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing his grief, the Prime Minister said he was pained to hear about the bus accident and extended heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
Announcing financial assistance, PM Modi said an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured will receive Rs 50,000 as support for medical treatment and recovery. (Agency)
