Baramulla, Apr 23 : In a move to intensify the fight against drug trafficking, Baramulla Police has launched an anonymous anti-drug tip line, officials said on Thursday.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Agency that the helpline number — 95967-67701 — has been placed under the personal supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Baramulla.
Police said that any individual having information related to narcotics activities can share it directly on this number without revealing their identity.
“Appropriate action will be taken on every input received,” a police officer said, adding that citizens are urged to come forward and support efforts to make the district drug-free.
The initiative forms part of a wider crackdown on drug networks operating in north Kashmir, officials added. (Agency)
