Srinagar, Apr 23 : National Conference leader and Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Thursday questioned the Jammu and Kashmir administration over the delay in resolving the reservation issue, asking it to either act on the pending file or acknowledge its lack of intent.
“We are waiting for the government. They said the file has been sent to the Lt Governor’s office,” Ruhullah told News agency.
The MP sought clarity on when the Lt Governor’s secretariat would take a decision. “When will the LG office return the file? If not immediately, at least tell us when it will be brought back and addressed,” he said.
Criticising the administration, Ruhullah said that merely claiming the file has been forwarded is not enough. “Their job cannot end with saying the file has been sent. The government must clearly state its position—then we will know where things stand,” he added.
Meanwhile, dismissing reports about launching a new political party, Ruhullah said he was unaware of any such developments and denied any involvement in such speculation. (Agency)
