PM Modi Propagates RSS Values in Unique Ways, Says Hosabale

WASHINGTON, Apr 25: RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi promotes the values of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in his own unique way and remains the organisation’s best representative.

In an interview with a news agency, Hosabale said the RSS has outlined five key focus areas for the next 25 years, including promoting social harmony and cohesion, building self-awareness and shedding colonial mindset, instilling civic sense, strengthening family values, and adopting sustainable development models.

He said PM Modi reflects these ideals through various initiatives. “He is doing these things in his own unique ways. He may not use the same words. For example, he said ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. We have said ‘plant a tree’,” Hosabale noted.

The RSS leader added that several government programmes reflect the organisation’s philosophy. He cited initiatives such as ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and the Panch Pran (Five Resolves) announced by the Prime Minister during his Independence Day speech in 2022.

“Being a swayamsevak, these values come naturally to him,” Hosabale said.

Recalling the centenary celebrations of the RSS, he said the Prime Minister had also highlighted the importance of the organisation’s future roadmap while releasing a commemorative stamp and coin.

“He is an elected Prime Minister in a democracy, but he understands his cultural roots and what this organisation stands for. He is the best representative,” Hosabale said.

He further said that when the BJP was formed in 1980, its founders aimed to maintain a connection with the RSS after separating from the Janata Party. “That umbilical cord relationship cannot be disturbed,” he added. (Agencies)
