Meena told the court he sustained the injuries while climbing down from a terrace.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"774\">When asked about the crime, the accused admitted to wrongdoing, stating that he had made a mistake. He further told the court that he needed the victim\u2019s fingerprints to access a locker.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"1034\">According to investigators, the accused allegedly assaulted the 22-year-old woman at her residence, after which he attempted to open a locker using her fingerprint. When unsuccessful, he reportedly broke it open using a tool and fled with cash and jewellery.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1036\" data-end=\"1149\">The court clarified that the accused\u2019s statements during the hearing would not be treated as a formal confession.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1427\">Police told the court that custodial interrogation is required to recover the victim\u2019s mobile phone, reconstruct the sequence of events, and determine if others were involved in the crime. Officials also said they are probing a similar case linked to the accused in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1429\" data-end=\"1583\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The incident occurred at the victim\u2019s residence in southeast Delhi, triggering widespread concern and prompting an intensive investigation by authorities.
