{"id":12306,"date":"2026-04-25T14:20:29","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T08:50:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/publicherald.in\/?p=12306"},"modified":"2026-04-25T14:20:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T08:50:29","slug":"srinagar-police-attach-3-5-crore-assets-drug-smugglers-crackdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/publicherald.in\/?p=12306","title":{"rendered":"Srinagar Police Attach \u20b93.5 Crore Assets of Drug Smugglers in Major Anti-Narcotics Crackdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"256\">Srinagar, Apr 25: In a continued crackdown against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu &amp; Kashmir Abhiyaan, Srinagar Police on Saturday attached immovable properties worth \u20b93.5 crore belonging to narcotics smugglers in the Noorbagh area of the city.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"258\" data-end=\"427\">Police Station Sangam acted under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act and attached properties linked with FIR No. 56\/2025 registered under Sections 8\/20 and 29 of the NDPS Act.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"429\" data-end=\"638\">The attached assets include a double-storey residential house along with 1 kanal of land belonging to accused Shakeel Ahmad Ganie, son of Ab Satar Ganie, resident of Kreshbal Noorbagh, valued at over \u20b92 crore.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"857\">Another property attached includes a double-storey residential house with 1 kanal of land belonging to accused Farooq Ahmad Mir, son of Ab Rehman Mir, resident of Kreshbal Noorbagh, valued at approximately \u20b91.5 crore.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"1117\">Officials said the properties were identified as illegally acquired assets generated from proceeds of drug trafficking. The action forms part of sustained efforts to dismantle narcotics networks by targeting both offenders and their financial infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1312\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Srinagar Police said such strict measures will continue in the future and also urged the public to share information related to drug peddling to strengthen the ongoing anti-drug campaign.
