Acting on these inputs, a case was registered at the Cyber Police Station Srinagar.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"943\">They further stated that a preliminary enquiry indicated the circulation of such content was a deliberate attempt to promote separatist and secessionist narratives through digital media. According to police, such activities had the potential to incite public disaffection, disturb public order, and weaken national integration.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"1215\">Officials said prima facie offences under Sections 152, 196(1), and 353(1)(b), (c), and (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita were found to be made out. Accordingly, FIR No. 11\/2026 has been registered at Cyber Police Station Srinagar, and investigation has been initiated.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1452\">Police also advised the public to avoid creating, sharing, or circulating any unlawful content on social media and digital platforms, warning that strict action would be taken against those found involved in such activities as per law.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1713\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Sources added that the case was registered after a video shared on X by Iltija Mufti, featuring Syed Ali Shah Geelani, came to the attention of authorities. The FIR also names unidentified persons for allegedly sharing and amplifying the content online.
