Anantnag, Apr 21 : The 11th death anniversary of former minister and senior Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Abdul Gani Shah Veeri was observed at his ancestral village in Veeri area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A large number of people, including party workers, relatives, and locals, gathered at his ancestral graveyard where Fateh Khawani was held and prayers were offered for the departed soul.
His son and MLA from Bijbehara–Srigufwara constituency, Bashir Ahmad Veeri, also joined the prayers along with supporters.
Participants remembered the late leader’s contribution to public service and his role in the development and welfare of the region. (Agency)
