JAMMU, Apr 20: Students staged a protest outside Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar in Jammu on Monday, demanding action against those responsible for the death of a student in a recent accident.
A large number of students gathered outside the college premises, raising slogans and expressing anger over what they termed negligence that led to the incident.
The protest follows the death of Anjali Choudhary, a fourth-semester student of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, who reportedly lost her life after falling from a moving bus during a college trip a few days ago.
Students demanded accountability and urged authorities to take strict action against those found responsible. Police personnel were deployed in the area to maintain law and order as the protest intensified.
The situation remained tense for some time, with students continuing their demonstration while security forces kept a close watch on the gathering. (Agency)
