India will continue zero-tolerance policy against terror: Amit Shah on Pahalgam attack anniversary

NEW DELHI, Apr 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack last year and reiterated that India will continue its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and those who support or harbour it.

In a post on X, the Home Minister said, “The grief and pain of losing our people still remain in the heart of every Indian.”

“Terrorism is the greatest enemy of humanity, and we must stand united to fight and defeat it. India will continue its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and those who harbour it,” he added.

The Pahalgam terror attack was carried out by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba in Jammu and Kashmir on this day last year, in which 26 people, mostly tourists from different parts of India, were killed.

Following the attack, India launched Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory military offensive in which Indian armed forces targeted and destroyed terror and military infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. (Agency)
