SRINAGAR, Apr 28: In a major escalation against the narcotics network, Anantnag Police on Tuesday launched coordinated Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) across 20 identified hotspot locations in the district.
According to details shared on X, police teams are conducting raids at the residences of suspected drug kingpins with the assistance of K9 squads to trace and recover narcotics and other contraband.
Officials said a detailed survey of illegal properties linked to drug networks is also underway, and such assets may be taken up for attachment under provisions of the NDPS Act.
The operation is part of an intensified crackdown against drug trafficking under the campaign #DrugFreeAnantnag, aimed at dismantling the financial and operational structures of narcotics networks in the district. (Agency)
